St Anthony via Mokapu

A couple of interesting moments on today’s dive: a huge school of Ringtail Surgeonfish descended on the St Anthony, circled it once, and left, and then on the way back to shore I find a huge Triton’s Trumpet shell that had a Barred Moray Eel, a couple of Coral Banded Shrimps, and a Jeweled Anemone Hermit Crab inside. So a Hermit Crab in its shell inside another, much bigger shell. Kind of like a Russian nesting doll. 🙂

I didn’t have my wide angle lens, so could not get a decent shot of the school of surgeonfish as I was too far for good color, so make them black and white I always say. 🙂

And the Barred Moray would not show their face; whenever my camera was in position, they would hide deep inside the huge shell.

So not a great picture day, but not for lack of trying. 🙂
